How does it work? Guide and Tips:

Basic Knoweledge:

Illustration pieces can be found on exploration.
The goal is to collect 450 points, 150 for each boy. 15 points = 1 piece of one outfit, 150 points to complete the boy route and get all his outfit. When you finish all the routes you will unlock a fourth character. Complete his route to get the companion, like last year.
Points: You get 10 if you answer correctly to the daily dialogue (or 5 for the neutral answer), 10, 7 or 3 during the daily minigame for all characters. The special Hearts Minigame awards 15 points for all characters.
Gold Coins: You can’t use them to unlock the next day. You can use them to buy points (20 gold coins earn you 15 points, aka an outfit piece) or to unlock the illustration (10 gold coins for a piece. There is no way to unlock the day after, you can only buy points.
Dialogues: Daily, if you pick the wrong answer (5 or 0 points) you can’t try again. Dialogues follow a certan order so if you did Day 1 on Nevra, on Day 2 you can either do Day 2 for Nevra or Day 1 for the other guys.
Special game: You have to click on the broken hearts, carefully avoiding the healthy ones. Clicking on the pink ones resets the level, you have 5 levels to complete in 30 seconds. It awards 15 points per win.
Succubus minigame click on the succubus icon between Valkyon and Nevra. You can do it once per day. Depending on the hearts left you can get 10 (3 hearts), 7 (2 hearts) or 3 (1 heart) points.
Hearts minigame – Insanity: it’s the same as the normal one but harder, you have 8 levels and 40 seconds.

After a brief introduction you will be able to read the rules of the event:

You can then pick a guy to have a dialogue with; depending on the answer you can get 10, 5 or 0 points. If you clicked on the wrong guy by accident you will be able to cancel.

NOTE: Some dialogues are translations from the Italian, French or Spanish version, they might be slightly different from the US adaptation. THE ORDER OF THE DIALOGUES IS NOT SET. Do not pick your answer depending on the position, pay attention to the text.

Day 3: Dialogues, Shield minigame, Hearts minigame

A pop up will appear as soon as you open the event page and the Hearts minigame will be explained to you. You have 30 seconds to complete 5 levels, each level has pink and broken hearts, you have to click on all the broken hearts to clear the level but clicking on a pink one will reset all of them. It’s fairly easy and awards 15 points for all the boys.

After the fifth the dialogues will randomly repeat themselves. I suggest you to start picking a different guy to keep them all even, since both the minigames affect all the boys.

Last 2 days: Hearts Minigame – Insanity difficulty

Once you’re done with the 3 boys you will find out that Ashkore has fallen victim of the Succubus too. To free him you will have to win a special version of the hearts minigame, twice. You have 8 levels to clear this time and 40 seconds. Wheter you win or lose the timer will reset and you will be able to play again after 24 hrs, or by paying 20 gold coins. Winning this nightmare twice will get you the Valentine Day 2018 companion.

Troubleshooting

Most of the questions I’ve received regarding this event are about the minigames. Unfortunately I can’t help as much as I wish but here are a few (mostly useless) tips.

Shield Minigame:

There are a couple of things you can do:

Play with the keyboard settings to improve the shield sensitivity.
The shield covers 25% of the sphere, even the borders can use to parry; use this at your advantage, focus on bottom/top projectiles before left/right and remember than the ones aimed for the centers hit slightly earlier than the ones aiming for the borders.

Final Minigame:

This minigame is insane, but again, this might help:

Play with the window size, a slightly smaller game area will make the hearts closer to each other and it might help, beware that it will also make the healthy hearts easier to misclick.
Use a touchpad, touchscreen or Drawing tablet, they all work better than the mouse (even gaming ones like the one I use)

Illustration Fragments:

This advice relies on the *unproven* fact that all the areas have the same chances of dropping a piece. Focus on the 10 energy ones to have more chances, the best one is the HQ, since it cannot drop a companion (if you get a companion, you have no chance for a fragment)

The illustration is divided into 8 pieces, you can buy them for 10 gold coins from Purral or find them through exploration.
